Zachary Whitman, Esq.

Attorney Zack Whitman

Zack’s practice focuses on complex probate litigation matters, including financial elder abuse, capacity/undue influence challenges, civil theft, breach of duties of Trustee, conservatorship/guardianship cases, and trust accountings.

As an experienced attorney specializing in trusts and estates, Mr. Whitman brings a wealth of experience and a passion for serving clients. A University of Minnesota Law School graduate, Mr. Whitman pursued a legal career driven by a commitment to social impact and community service.

Early in his career, Mr. Whitman first dedicated his efforts to coordinating and hosting pro bono legal clients, primarily for veterans, to assist with the creation and implementation of their estate plans. This formative experience laid the groundwork for a career dedicated to advocating for clients in the area of Estate Planning and Probate.

In 2016, Mr. Whitman began a clerkship under Judge Aaron Persky in the Superior Court of Santa Clara County Probate Department.

Before finding his true calling as a litigator, Zack practiced in Corporate Mergers and Acquisitions and Estate Planning. Zack has various experiences practicing both in estate planning and business law, focusing primarily on representing family-owned businesses and integrating business succession planning into comprehensive estate plans. Zack also previously worked as a corporate attorney in Silicon Valley.

However, it was upon his relocation to San Diego in 2019 that Mr. Whitman found his true calling and returned to the practice of Estate Planning and Probate.

Today, as a trusted litigator, Mr. Whitman specializes in Probate Litigation cases. With a focus on cases of breaches of fiduciary duty, property disputes, thefts of estate assets, guardianships/conservatorships, and elder abuse, Mr. Whitman is dedicated to servicing his clients and advocating for their interests in the often cumbersome and daunting arena of the Probate Court.
